With Financial Literacy Month in November, non-profit Business Link, in partnership with Nail The Numbers, is launching the Cashflow Canvas – a FREE program designed to address financial management challenges, a key factor in the failure of 71% of small businesses.
As entrepreneurs face increasing pressure in today’s economy, the Cashflow Canvas simplifies financial concepts, offering essential tools for personal and business financial success. The program begins with a free Financial Wake-Up Call webinar on November 20th, which will guide participants through common financial pitfalls and strategies to manage debt, cash flow, and growth.
Taunya Woods Richardson, creator of the Cashflow Canvas, discusses how financial literacy can be the difference between success and failure.
PRESS RELEASE
CALGARY (October 30, 2024) – As financial literacy becomes more crucial for business survival, Business Link and Nail The Numbers Inc. proudly announce the launch of the Cashflow Canvas across Alberta. This innovative program, launching in November for Financial Literacy Month, equips entrepreneurs with the financial skills they need to succeed. With more than 5,000 businesses across Canada and the U.S. already transformed by this system, Alberta entrepreneurs now have access to these powerful tools at no cost.
The Cashflow Canvas tackles a critical problem: 71% of business owners fail due to difficulty in managing budgets. This comprehensive, multi-part program simplifies financial complexities, guiding participants on a clear path to financial health and business success. Entrepreneurs will discover that the power to succeed has always been within them; they just need the right tools to unlock it.
“Financial literacy is the cornerstone of entrepreneurial success,” says Matt Hill, Director, Client Services and Operations, Business Link. “By offering Cash Flow Canvas [cash flow] training, we’re not only providing Alberta business owners with the knowledge to build a strong financial foundation but also giving them the practical tools to make informed decisions that will drive long-term growth.
Entrepreneurs begin by attending a free but mandatory Financial Wake-Up Call Webinar on November 20, followed by an optional 5-day personal budget challenge of 25-minute training sessions starting November 22nd. The program continues with entrepreneurs building their business budget through the required Cashflow Canvas Bootcamp on January 7, 2025, and concludes with biweekly online group sessions running from January 14 to March 25, 2025, designed to provide additional support with certified trainers.
With Canadians facing a $13.4 trillion retirement deficit by 2050, and the average entrepreneur struggling with $35,000 in consumer debt, the Cashflow Canvas is an urgent solution to achieving financial stability. The program offers a clear path to tackle both personal and business finances, ensuring that Alberta entrepreneurs can secure their financial future while growing their businesses.
“The Cashflow Canvas has already transformed the financial futures of thousands of businesses across North America,” says Taunya Woods, creator of the Cashflow Canvas. “Partnering with Business Link now equips Alberta entrepreneurs with the vital financial tools they need to grow with confidence, clarity and control.
Anyone interested must sign up by the November 19th deadline. More information can be found at: businesslink.ca/programs/cash-flow-canvas-program.
