Robert Szmigiel

Robert Szmigiel was born and raised in Vancouver and grew up there until he was 18. He then moved to California and got his BA degree in Marketing and Advertising from San Jose State University. He currently lives and operates Vancouver’s podcast while working internationally for companies in Canada, Costa Rica, Antigua, Malta, US, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Panama. He has won several international awards for his work on directing brands and marketing.

Mario Toneguzzi, based in Calgary, has 37 years of experience as a daily newspaper writer, columnist and editor. He worked for 35 years at the Calgary Herald covering sports, crime, politics, health, city and breaking news, and business. For 12 years as a business writer, his main beats were commercial and residential real estate, retail, small business and general economic news. He now works on his own as a freelance writer and consultant in communications and media relations/training.

Cynthia is skilled at breaking down communications fundamentals into bite-size and easy-to-implement pieces. From her home on Vancouver Island, she works with clients across North America. Wanting to share the tools she uses as a consultant, Cynthia developed How to Communications. This online training and communications resources platform provides entrepreneurs with the tools they need to improve their communications skills. As a mom of an autistic child, she’s also a strong advocate for the rights of kids with disabilities. She is passionate about helping people share their stories and be heard.

Since then, the firm is growing and is dedicated to business law. The firm won a Jarret in the category of professional services during 2019’s Edition of Le Gala de l’entreprise beauceronne. Sylvie has many involvements in the entrepreneurial community of Quebec. Among others, she contributes to “Centre de transfert d’entreprises”, “Ressources Entreprises” and “Entrepreneuriat Laval”. She’s also member of the board of “J’Entreprends Québec”, a non-profit organization whose mission is to generate the entrepreneurial spark and create a unifying entrepreneurial culture, and board member, secretary and responsible of programing of “Association Femmes Entrepreneures Québec”. whose mission is to promote, develop and support women’s entrepreneurship, as a lever to sustain economic development of Quebec City Area.

He also founded Relish, a former iconic Atlantic Canada burger chain known for its gourmet burgers and welcoming approach to customer service.  He continues to help businesses succeed through Headspace for Entrepreneurs, a community of global entrepreneurs, and a podcast of the same name.
