Robert Szmigiel was born and raised in Vancouver and grew up there until he was 18. He then moved to California and got his BA degree in Marketing and Advertising from San Jose State University. He currently lives and operates Vancouver’s podcast while working internationally for companies in Canada, Costa Rica, Antigua, Malta, US, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Panama. He has won several international awards for his work on directing brands and marketing.
Philip Bliss is a business visionary, entrepreneur, digital marketing pioneer and a board-level executive. He provides strategy, marketing, product and technology leadership to companies and organizations. Philip has built and sold four companies and been a strategic advisor, marketing visionary, product marketer and board-level director to a number of start-ups and major names in the technology, real estate and travel sectors. Céline Williams is an international speaker, business strategist, and the founder of reVisionary, a boutique consulting firm providing executive coaching, leadership development, and culture services to human-focused businesses around the world. A serial entrepreneur who dabbled in corporate for a decade, Céline has almost 20 years’ experience working with growing organizations and is the trusted advisor to investors, Fortune 500 companies, and executives in a variety of industries. She is sought after for her expertise in accelerating team performance, designing culture, managing transformation, and facilitating effective communication. In 2020 she won the award for Best Culture Design Specialist from Corporate Vision for her body of work.
Angela is a mobilizing speaker, impact coach, promoter & author who LOVES to empower purpose-driven individual & geographically connected property owners to imagine & build “Places Worth Living For”. Angela leverages her own 10x Mindset, plus core competencies of business building, destination development and public relations to help others break through ‘building blocks’ and access maximum happiness, social impact and profits through “place”. Mario Toneguzzi, based in Calgary, has 37 years of experience as a daily newspaper writer, columnist and editor. He worked for 35 years at the Calgary Herald covering sports, crime, politics, health, city and breaking news, and business. For 12 years as a business writer, his main beats were commercial and residential real estate, retail, small business and general economic news. He now works on his own as a freelance writer and consultant in communications and media relations/training.
Cynthia Lockrey is a change maker + communications expert with 25+ years of public relations experience. She shifts people, teams, organizations, and cultures to go from overwhelmed to clear and activated through her writing, consulting, speaking, training, and coaching. Cynthia is skilled at breaking down communications fundamentals into bite-size and easy-to-implement pieces. From her home on Vancouver Island, she works with clients across North America. Wanting to share the tools she uses as a consultant, Cynthia developed How to Communications. This online training and communications resources platform provides entrepreneurs with the tools they need to improve their communications skills. As a mom of an autistic child, she’s also a strong advocate for the rights of kids with disabilities. She is passionate about helping people share their stories and be heard.
Sylvie Bougie is member of Quebec Bar and practices business and commercial law since 2006. In 2009, she went into business and founded, a few years later, the firm Vigi legal services. Since then, the firm is growing and is dedicated to business law. The firm won a Jarret in the category of professional services during 2019’s Edition of Le Gala de l’entreprise beauceronne. Sylvie has many involvements in the entrepreneurial community of Quebec. Among others, she contributes to “Centre de transfert d’entreprises”, “Ressources Entreprises” and “Entrepreneuriat Laval”. She’s also member of the board of “J’Entreprends Québec”, a non-profit organization whose mission is to generate the entrepreneurial spark and create a unifying entrepreneurial culture, and board member, secretary and responsible of programing of “Association Femmes Entrepreneures Québec”. whose mission is to promote, develop and support women’s entrepreneurship, as a lever to sustain economic development of Quebec City Area.
Rivers Corbett is a solution-focused & Agile Entrepreneur, Advisor, and Thought Leader with more than 20 years of success across food & beverage, hospitality, and e-commerce. His broad areas of expertise include leadership, team building, coaching & mentoring, business development, marketing, branding, sales, partnerships, global operations, global strategy, customer experience, startups, and growth. Rivers holds a leadership position as the Chief Executive Officer & Founder of ChefTorial (formerly The Chef Group), where he invested $2K in a small start-up bringing chefs into people’s homes and grew to a seven-figure talent agency providing chefs for private and corporate events including cooking classes in Sobeys and other retailers. He also founded Relish, a former iconic Atlantic Canada burger chain known for its gourmet burgers and welcoming approach to customer service. He continues to help businesses succeed through Headspace for Entrepreneurs, a community of global entrepreneurs, and a podcast of the same name.
